Facebook For Old Fogies

Link: Time: Why Facebook Is For Old Fogies

Here is a article that I found from Digg.com on Times Magazine about Facebook. I find this kind of ironic since I associate Times Magazine with older people.

11-th Grade Activities

This sort of true. I like to say that I didn't really learn much in high school, yet there were valuable experiences that I went through. All the class time and hours of homework is not too useful, but I agree... one weekend of learning PERL would probably get a you decent job as a programmer. Makes me wanna learn PERL now!!

President-elect Obama's Take On The Internet In The U.S.

Link: Mr. Obama's Internet Agenda

President-elect Barack Obama wants to reshape the United State's Internet infrastructure. I agree with this article because I also believe that the U.S. is lacking in its infrastructure. Infrastructure is the core to bringing the Internet Age to the masses. It allows the gap of the digital divide to come closer together, educating and evolving the economy to be more effective and efficient.

Mr. Obama has a lot of challenges, but as the President of the United States, he can probably get a lot of this done that no one else can. Thank God he sees how useful the future of the Internet can bring America.

50 Skillz Every Real Geek Should Have

Link: MaximumPC - 50 Skillz for Geeks

This is a nice article that tests the skillz that you have if you call yourself a geek. Many of these things I could probably do, some I find a bit much for me (since I'm more of a tech geek than an overall geek), and some I think are too easy =) But go through it to see if you really are a geek. It'll bring out the geek inside of you.
